Background
Kemp Systems was established to provide Engineering Services and Systems to companies requiring analytical and technological expertise in Material Handling, Warehousing, and Facility Planning. Most of our projects use a data-based layout system to compare various concept layouts. These layouts are based on various levels of automation, space availability and customer data including business growth, inventory turns and operational changes.
Kemp Systems has over 28 years experience in the material handling and warehousing industry. We have seen how business is changing on a more frequent basis; and how our clients need greater flexibility with their customers, facilities and operations. Thus, the Space Flow System has evolved to support changing business needs on a daily and periodic basis.
Proposals
Before we submit a proposal, we would like to take the time to learn as much as possible about your company, its future direction and your project objectives. After discussing your ideas, objectives and scope of work, we will write a proposal for our planning, implementation and support services.
Standard Proposals include: defining the objectives, data analysis, developing alternatives, and designing a solution.
Deliverables include: facility & equipment layouts, storage group placements, a new mode of operation, visual controls, visual management solutions, layouts and data files and summaries.
Visual Management Solutions
An important part of our deliverables is to provide a solution with a Visual Management Solution - Visual Mgt. The intent of Visual Mgt. is to design a layout of equipment, inventory and operations that is intuitive for all employees for the daily facility conditions and priorities. This system includes a combination of the following:
1. Improved Location System
2. Improved Product Placement
3. Facility Profiling of specific bays, levels, locations or areas for: fast movers, staging-shipping, staging-receiving, expansion for new products and overflow for peak receipts or promotions.
